Vanda Lops is a member of the Camera Minorile of Rome and is a founding member of the Italian League for prompt divorce, which is an non-profit association born on 2007 aiming to solicit the public opinion on the excessive length of the time needed to obtain the divorce. The League has many accessions – also within members of the Parliament – and in October 2009 has submitted to the Chamber of Deputies a project of reform of family law. Many deputies (among whom the vice-president of the Senate, Emma Bonino) have undertaken to take the necessary steps to have the reform project transformed into a law.
